What is an LMS

An LMS (Learning Management System) is a software platform used for Administration , Tracking , Documenting and Reporting of Training .
It is sometimes called a Course Management System (CMS) – a software package designed to help educators create quality online courses. Such e-learning systems are sometimes also called a Virtual Learning Environments (VLE).

There are many software packages out there , but our prefered software package is Moodle which  is an Open Source software, which means you are free to download it, use it, modify it and even distribute it (under the terms of the GNU General Public License).
